3 week training program designed for the mechanic working on the Dash-8 aircraft.

The DeHavilland Dash-8 Type course will provide the student with the technical knowledge to service and maintain the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner. The course includes system description, details of operation, component location, certain tests and the tasks associated with the technicians' day-to-day activities. Safety and maintenance practices unique to the airframe are also described. The course meets or exceeds the requirements as listed in Transport Canada 's CAR 566, and the scope detailed by ATA Specification 104 Level 3.

The extensive use of the actual aircraft for the hands-on portion of the course, provides the student with a first-hand knowledge of the components. The Flightline Training Services course usually exceeds the 5% hands-on requirement of Transport Canada regulations. We have found that the technician is more proficient on the aircraft sooner, thus reducing your costs.

Continuation Training Course 100,200 or 300

3 or 5 Day training program designed for the mechanic maintaining the Dash-8 aircraft.

The DeHavilland Dash-8 Continuation Training course will provide the student with the most up to date technical information that will assist the technician in their day-to-day maintenance of the aircraft. The course includes a review of the latest Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and Modifications to the aircraft. Selected systems review followed by technically challenging exercises will test the students troubleshooting abilities.

Bridging Course 100 to 200 or 300

Transport Canada Approved Training Course

2, 3 or 5 Day training program designed for the mechanic maintaining the Dash-8 aircraft

The Dash-8 Bridging courses are designed for the Technician who is currently working on a specific model of the Dash-8 aircraft, and there being a need for training on the other series of the aircraft.

Course pre-requisites: Students must have attended an approved Dash-8 Type course.

Ground Run Training Course 100,200 or 300

3 or 5 Day training program designed for the mechanic maintaining the Dash-8 aircraft

The DeHavilland Dash-8 Ground Run Training course will ensure that the student demonstrates safe and controlled aircraft ground running procedures. The course includes a review of the operating and emergency procedures of the aircraft. Selected systems faults will be introduced in the session to technically challenge the students troubleshooting abilities and ensure that emergency procedures are adhered to.

The student will be evaluated on their ability to isolate system faults and safe operating procedures.

Course pre-requisites: Students must have attended an approved Dash-8 Type course.

Familiarization Training Course 100,200 or 300

3 Day Non Technical Course

Designed for the support staff of the operator. The course will provide the student with a basic knowledge of the aircraft systems and components.

5 Day Technical Course

Designed for the management staff providing a technical in-depth view of the aircraft systems and components.
